Principal's Message

August 11, 2025

Dear Wildcat Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! As we prepare to begin another exciting chapter at Chisholm Elementary, I am filled with pride and anticipation for the incredible opportunities that lie ahead.

This year, our school theme is “Innovation Takes Root, Learning Grows Here.” This theme reflects our commitment to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence in every classroom. We are proud to be the only school in Volusia County where every classroom is equipped with iPad Air 11s, providing students with cutting-edge tools to support personalized and engaging learning experiences. In addition, our classrooms feature Samsung Interactive Panels which are touchscreen displays that enhance collaboration and interactivity across all grade levels. In addition, our teachers will all have Apple MacBook Airs and iPad Air 11s and our classrooms will utilize Apple Classroom.

We are also thrilled to announce the addition of two new Pre-K classrooms to our campus this year! This expansion allows us to welcome even more young learners into our Wildcat family and provide them with a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

I am proud to share that Chisholm Elementary has once again been recognized as an A-rated school by the state of Florida—for the fifth consecutive year! This continued success is a testament to the dedication of our students, staff, and families who work together to create a vibrant, supportive, and high-achieving school community.

As we begin this new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our returning families and a heartfelt greeting to those joining us for the first time. We are honored to partner with you in your child’s educational journey.

We encourage you to stay connected and involved throughout the year. Your partnership is essential to our continued success.

Thank you for your continued support and trust in our school. Together, let’s make the 2025–2026 school year one of innovation, growth, and joyful learning!

Warm regards,

Melissa Marple
