Dear Wildcat Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! As we prepare to begin another exciting chapter at Chisholm Elementary, I am filled with pride and anticipation for the incredible opportunities that lie ahead.
This year, our school theme is Out of This World: Learning Beyond the Stars. This theme reflects our commitment to inspiring curiosity, imagination, and high levels of learning as we challenge students to reach new heights and explore limitless possibilities.
At Chisholm Elementary, we continue to provide innovative, engaging learning experiences for every student. As the original pilot school for Volusia County’s 1:1 Apple initiative at the elementary level, we are proud to have helped lead the way as the district expands this work to additional schools this year. Every classroom at Chisholm remains equipped with iPad Air 11s, giving students access to powerful tools that support personalized and meaningful learning. Our classrooms also feature Samsung Interactive Panels, allowing for dynamic, collaborative instruction across all grade levels. In addition, our teachers are equipped with Apple MacBook Airs and iPad Air 11s, and classrooms utilize Apple Classroom to enhance instruction and support student success.
We are proud to share that Chisholm Elementary has once again earned an A rating from the state of Florida for the six consecutive year. This achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, staff, and families and the strong partnership we share.
This past year, our school was honored to be named a Volusia County Schools Elementary School of Innovation, recognizing our commitment to forward-thinking teaching and learning practices. We also took an exciting step forward by submitting our application to become an Apple Distinguished School, with results expected later this fall. This journey reflects our ongoing focus on innovation, creativity, and student-centered learning.
As we begin this new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to our returning families and a heartfelt greeting to those joining our Wildcat family for the first time. We are honored to partner with you in your child’s educational journey.
